Where consent is collected

A signed-in adult volunteer sees this separate, unchecked checkbox during onboarding at /onboarding or later in My Profile at /me. Texting is optional and is not required to volunteer.

Optional. Texts stay off until your mobile number is confirmed and the kitchen marks the channel ready.

Enrollment steps

  1. The volunteer provides a US mobile number.
  2. The volunteer independently checks the optional SMS box.
  3. The system records the disclosure version, time, phone, user, and source page.
  4. The Lunch Lady sends a confirmation request. Texts remain off until the volunteer replies START.
