A signed-in adult volunteer sees this separate, unselected choice during onboarding at /onboarding or later in My Profile at /me. Texting is optional and is not required to volunteer.

By turning this on, I agree to receive volunteer scheduling and kitchen coordination texts from The Lunch Lady at the number provided. Messages may include open-day alerts, assignment confirmations, reminders, day-of instructions, cancellations, and rescheduling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Enrollment steps

  1. The volunteer provides a US mobile number.
  2. The volunteer independently turns on the optional SMS choice.
  3. The system records the disclosure version, time, phone, user, and source page.
  4. The Lunch Lady sends a confirmation request. Texts remain off until the volunteer replies START.
